Replacing a toilet seat is simpler than you might think and can usually be done in just a few steps.
Follow these steps:
At the back of the toilet seat, use a flat‑head screwdriver to loosen and remove the plastic caps and bolts from the fittings.
Once the fittings are removed, lift the old seat away and set it aside.
Line up the fittings on your new seat with the fixing holes on the toilet.
Refit and tighten the bolts. Make sure the seat is positioned correctly before fully tightening. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the fittings.
If your new seat includes plastic caps, clip them into place.
Your new toilet seat should now be secure and ready to use.
